Smita Chandra's talents are as varied as the spices of India.
An author of 3 Indian cookbooks & an app - Easy Tandoori, Smita's culinary skills have spiced the halls of Cornell University's School of Hotel Management, Centre For Food at Durham College, The Chefs' House at George Brown College and many Toronto area cooking schools such as Loblaws, Fortinos and the LCBO.
Smita has created original recipes for T-Fal, Real Canadian Superstores, Saveur Magazine NY, Kraft Canada, Sofina Foods, Heart and Stroke Foundation and The Ripple Effect Wellness Organization.
She has been a food and travel writer for Ensemble Vacations magazine, Saveur magazine NY, a brand ambassador for Philadelphia Cream Cheese Canada, a food blogger, a radio and TV personality and a well known South Asian cooking expert.
Smita is also a food consultant, helping identify industry trends, creating restaurant menus as well as curriculum content for George Brown College.
Smita was a judge at the recent Toronto Curry Awards 2018, sharing her expertise and knowledge of all things curry.
Smita volunteers her time for TREWO and is the Event Chair for Women's Health.
